Mid-American Global Education Council

The Mid-American Global Education Council (MAGEC) has been dedicated to promoting global education in the Midwestern United States and Ontario for over 25 years. By attending our three annual model United Nations conferences, thousands of high school students have not only gained knowledge on international perspectives and pressing global issues, but also everyday skills including consensus building, public speaking, and diplomacy.

Each of our unique conferences offer various committee sizes and topics:

Mid-American Model United Nations, or MAMUN, our signature four day model United Nations held each spring including General Assembly & ECOSOC Committees, plenary sessions, and crisis committees;

Canadian American Security Councils, or CASC, our simulation of the Security Council, Arab League, African Union, European Union, and more held the first weekend in December;

Mid-American Historical Security Councils, or MAHSC, our historical Security Councils held each April during which delegates tackle some of history’s most vexing problems.
