Mid-American Global Education Council

Home » About MAGEC

The Mid-American Global Education Council (MAGEC) sponsors model United Nations conferences for high school students and their teachers.  Our focus is on multilateral organizations as we try to help bring the world into focus for students from across the Midwestern United States and Ontario.

With hundreds of years of combined experience, MAGEC’s volunteer conference staff is one of the most experienced on the high school circuit. Our staff is composed of former delegates of MAGEC conferences, ranging from current college students engaged in international studies and collegiate model United Nations, to mid-career professionals in the fields of government, politics, academia, media, and international organizations.

We host three conferences each year. Our Conference Calendar outlines MAGEC’s events over the next few years.

The MAGEC Hall of Fame was established to honor the advisors, students, and staff who have been instrumental in creating and promoting various model United Nations programs in the Midwest. The individuals honored have irrefutably played a major role in advancing global education efforts in the region.
